Baby Links - A Unique Approach to School Success |
|

|
Early intervention in a baby or toddler’s life can make the difference between struggling in school and succeeding in school. Of the 1496 babies born to Allegan County families in 2005, 45% of these babies are at risk for developing health and learning issues that will impact their ability to be successful in school and in life. Identifying potential risks and equipping families with the skills to successfully parent in the presence of those risks, is an important role of early education. Baby Links works to identify Allegan County families with risks and links them to the appropriate support resource.

AAESA Technology Takes the Lead in Continous Technology Improvement |

The single greatest determinant of student learning is instruction. Your schools need access to accurate and easily manipulated data to assess and make improvements in instructional programming. In a time of budget shortfalls and increased accountability requirements, the AAESA has taken a leadership role in the continuous improvement process by financing a cooperative purchase to help administrators and teachers gather and analyze information and make decisions regarding instructional practice and student performance. - Data Warehouse: In a consortium with Kalamazoo RESA, AAESA acquired a data warehouse software package. The volume purchase discount coupled with a financing arrangement offered by the AAESA, made the annual impact more manageable for our local districts.
- Curriculum Management System: A consortium purchase of the Excelsior Pinnacle System brings the instructional and administrative sides of education together in one centralized data base system to track individual student progress towards learning goals.
