The State of Michigan has now set the number of credits in each subject area, and, in many cases, specified the specific courses that must be taken in English, mathematics, science, social studies, health/physical education, the arts (visual, performing, or applied), and world languages.  To assist local districts and parents in understanding these new requirements the Michigan Department of Education has created a presentation to introduce you to these new Michigan High School Graduation Standards also known as the Michigan Merit Curriculum.   Click the link below to download the presentation.

Allegan County ISD has become Allegan Area Educational Service Agency. "The main reason," board President Phyllis Drozd said, "is to better describe to the public what we really are all about. We are a service agency."  

As part of this change we're redesigning our website.  We're still making a few changes but we hope you find our new site more useful and easier to navigate.
