ACATEC Student Recognized for Poster Designs PDF Print E-mail
Mike Foster, Allegan Area Technical & Education Center Student from Otsego High School,  was recognized by the AAESA School Board on May 17th for his artistic photo collage and poster designs featuring all of the seven school districts served by the Tech & Ed Center. Ron Fuller, AAESA Superintendent, presented Mike with a plaque for Excellence at the board meeting May 17th.

The posters are currently on display at the entrance to the Allegan Tech & Ed Center and will soon be at the AAESA headquarters.

“The response to the engaging designs has been overwhelming,” shared Brian Schenk, Commercial Arts Instructor.  “Other schools have asked for a set, and visitors appreciate the visual reflection on each school community.”

Mike is seen here with his Commercial Art instructor Brian Schenk. Mike produced the posters as part of his curriculum requirements as a second year student. Helping Mike, along with his instructor, was the art program instructional assistant, Valli Virgo-Caperton, who also has received recognition for her work in creating both the new AAESA and the Tech & Ed Center logos.
