Allegan County Administrator, Rob Sarro, and Allegan Area Educational Service Center (AAESA) Superintendent, Ron Fuller, are “facing off” to support the 2007 Allegan County United Way Campaign. “We are challenging each other and the organizations we represent to increase their pledges and pledge amounts to the 2007 United Way Campaign”, explains Sarro. We both also really agree that it is important to have some fun doing it,” explains Sarro. The winner will be the administrator with the organization that has the highest average pledge amount based on the number of staff pledges. The looser will have to wear the winner’s college colors for one work day. Both organization are also having challenges between departments, with the people who pledged in the winning department having a chance to win $100.00 of free gas. The free gas gift is from an anonymous donor to both organizations.
“I am really looking forward to seeing Rob in a GVSU sweatshirt and cap,” laughs Fuller, a GVSU Football Player and Graduate. “ Most importantly”, adds Fuller, “ In this challenging economic time for our county and its citizens, the success of our county campaign is vital for the people and families served by our partner agency!” Along with Conrad Mutschler, Perrigo VP of Customer Supply, Fuller is the Co-Chairperson for the 2007 Allegan County United Way Campaign. The 2007 Campaign goal is $725,000, and the theme is “Make a Lasting Changes Right HERE Where You Live”. “Our partners actually do the work”, states Mimi Gabriel, Allegan County United Way Executive Director. “However, we can assist by providing the vehicle through which funds are raised to support their missions. Please join all of us in making lasting changes right here where we live!” For more information on the County vs. AAESA Competition or other information about the United way Campaign please contact those listed above or Mimi Gabriel at 269.673.4565. |
