Allegan County needs a community college!
In his education address, Governor Rick Snyder discussed a program called Degrees Matter in which he boldly stated the vision that every resident receive a two-year college degree or vocational credential by the end of their 13th year of school, or within one year after high school graduation. This call for a more educated workforce is nothing new. Governor Granholm in her charge to the Cherry Commission called for the doubling of residents with a Bachelor’s Degree.
