Resources for supporting school-based services.
Medicaid reimbursement consists of School Based Services and Administrative Outreach Programs. Its purpose is to assure that children or students who are Medicaid eligible and have an IEP, receive needed health care. Districts are required to notify and obtain consent from families whose children are Medicaid eligible and qualify for special education services/programs.
The Allegan Area Educational Service Agency is the billing agent under which all claims are submitted.
Health services in the school systems include not only physical health, but mental and emotional health as well.
