The Learning Resource Unit offers professional development and support for student achievement in the Greater Allegan County area. The LRU's mission is to increase student achievement. Our focus is helping local districts and schools with curriculum, teaching for learning and assessment and evaluation.
The LRU staff works with local educators at the district, building, department and classroom level in a variety of activities from meeting with individual teachers, groups of teachers, serving on committees in local districts, conducting on site workshops, holding study groups and coordinating and facilitating county wide training and professional development opportunities.
Program Information
The LRU provides leadership, consultation and professional development to support programs and services which compliment and enhance the school improvement efforts of our constituent districts.
The LRU serves general education and special education teachers, administrators and instructional staff with curriculum, instructional practices and assessment analysis. Professional development and consulting is available at the Allegan Area Educational Service Agency or within local schools/districts.
