Allegan Area Educational Service Agency is committed to the provision of assistive technology services to students who are in need of such devices or services to maximize educational benefits. Our Assistive Technology Coordinator works closely with the local districts to create a team of professionals and family members to ensure that the student will benefit from a wide spectrum of knowledge and experience. The services provided include assistive technology evaluation, device acquisition, device selection and maintenance, training for staff, student and family, recommendations to appropriately address the needs of the student, implementation of the technology, documentation of outcomes as well as an ongoing evaluation to determine the effectiveness of the technology in various environments. Allegan County is a leader in the use of assistive technology; our goal is to ensure universal access to all members of AAESA.
