Lake Michigan College Admissions Specialist Jacquie Johnson will be holding office hours at the Tech Center to assist adults interested in going to college. Jacquie will be making site visits to the Allegan Tech Center on Mondays beginning July 26th and will be here from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. She will be available to answer college related questions, help with financial aid and college applications, etc. The dates are as follows: Monday July 26, August 2nd, 16thth. | Adult Education classes at the Allegan County Area Technical & Education Center are open to all people 18 years of age or older, regardless of previous schooling or experience. Students 17 years of age or older who are attending a daytime K-12 program are eligible to enroll in adult classes on a space available basis for a fee. Adults are given first priority for registration. Adults who do not live in one of the local districts in the Allegan Area Educational Service Agency are considered out-of-district (OD) residents and are welcomed to register, but may need to pay a different registration fee when applicable. The local districtsof the Allegan ISD are: - Allegan

- Glenn
- Hopkins
- Martin
- Otsego
- Plainwell
- Wayland
Registration ProcedureRegistrations are being taken for new sessions until the class is full or the class begins. Enroll at the Allegan Tech Center. Students wishing to earn high school credit for classes must register with a local adult education program. The Allegan Tech Center hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Registrations will be taken at the Tech Center by phone or contact Carol Gates . Fees Any student taking a class or credit course must pay the stated registration fee unless otherwise noted. Senior citizens (SC)(62 or over) must pay the fee that is listed under (SC) at the end of the Tuition line. Out-of-district (OD) residents must pay the fee listed after OD. Fees are listed after course descriptions. Course fees are due no later than the first class meeting, payable in the office. MasterCard and Visa are accepted. High School students must be enrolled in a local school prior to being admitted to a Tech Center program for credit. Students should contact their guidance counselor for additional information about career opportunities and training programs available at the Tech Center. Adults may enroll in day or evening training programs on a space available basis by contacting our main office at (269) 673-3121.
Students:
• Attain positive work-related attitudes and technical skills. • Local high schools will award credit for programs completed at the Tech Center. • A competency certificate is awarded to each student who successfully meets the requirements of a technical program. • Industry-based certificates are available in most programs.
