Due to changes in local grant structure, Michigan Works! services will no longer be contracted through the Allegan Area Educational Service Agency (AAESA). Services such as registering to work for unemployment, career coaching and job training tuition assistance, are still being provided at the Allegan County Human Services Building.
Most of the AAESA/Michigan Works! staff members are now employed by Area Community Service Employment and Training (ACSET) based in Grand Rapids. AAESA retained three staff members to administer the contract with Allegan County for Economic Development and the WIA Youth Grant: Nora Balgoyen-Williams, Kerrie Antelo and Shirley Eichenberg.
AAESA would like to thank the Michigan Works! staff for their service to the organization and wish them the best of luck as they continue their good work for the people of Allegan County.
