The partnerships between each local school district, Allegan Area ESA, and the Michigan Department of Education's Early Childhood Grant create several family support opportunities through each local district Family Coach.
A parent cafe is based on the Strengthening Families Framework and the Five Protective Factors. Each Parent Cafe provides a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, make friends, share parenting experiences and ideas that help us to take care of ourselves, raise strong children, and build relationships with our kids. Parent Cafes also help to build support for parent by parent, which in turn will create strong families and strong communities.
