Hopkins Elementary School hosted a Candy Land themed family math night on Tuesday, April 30. Students were invited to a free night of pizza, games, and fun that was sponsored by H.O.P.E. Students enjoyed candy-themed math games that used goodies to help them learn and eat as they played. There were games such as area and perimeter of a brownie, build geometrical shapes with gum drops and tooth picks, patterns in math with Fruit Loops cereal, and a probability game using fruit snacks. There were over twenty games throughout the building. The school was decorated with Candy Land themed cut outs and colorful foam pieces to follow just like the game. Over 170 people enjoyed a night together at Hopkins Elementary.
