The Allegan Area ESA Board of Education held their biennial election on June 5, 2023 for one open seat. Cindy Smith of Plainwell was elected to the position. She replaces William Parsons, also of Plainwell, who has been on the Board since 2011. Mrs. Smith is employed as a paraprofessional at Plainwell Public Schools, working with students who need help academically, physically and emotionally. Her term will begin on July 1, 2023 and run until June 30, 2029.
