In February, Plainwell Community Schools hosted the 2024 Battle of the Books team competition at the Plainwell Performing Arts Center. There were 26 teams that competed from Hopkins, Martin, Otsego and Plainwell Elementary Schools. The teams had worked hard reading and studying six books over the last several months to prepare for the competition. On Battle Day, the teams all had outstanding teamwork during the quiz-bowl type competition. Congratulations to the 2024 Battle of the Books Champions, the Bookshelf Bandits, from Cooper Elementary who won the Grand Battle that took place on February 24. It was a great day of competition, and we are so proud of all the participants for their hard work and outstanding teamwork throughout the competition!
