Allegan Area Educational Service Agency is pleased to announce Madeleine Jackson-Sherman as the new principal of the Hillside Learning Center.

Jackson-Sherman brings more than a decade of experience in education to the role. In this position, she will provide leadership for student support, staff development, and meaningful partnerships with families and the Hillside Learning Center community.

“We’re excited for Madeleine to step into the principal role at Hillside Learning Center,” said Bill Brown, superintendent of Allegan Area Educational Service Agency. “She brings a strong foundation of leadership and a genuine commitment to supporting both students and staff. Having served in multiple roles at Hillside, she has consistently led with care, collaboration, and a student-centered mindset. We look forward to her continued leadership in strengthening the school’s positive culture and supporting success for students, staff and families.”

Prior to becoming principal, Jackson-Sherman served in a variety of educational roles, including paraprofessional, special education teacher supporting students with emotional impairments and learning disabilities, and most recently assistant principal at Hillside.

“I’m honored to step into the principal role at Hillside Learning Center,” said Jackson-Sherman. “Hillside is a place where relationships matter deeply, and I’m excited to continue building on the strong culture already in place. I look forward to working alongside students, staff, and families as we support every learner’s growth and success.”
