🌟 Amy loves seeing both students and staff grow—whether it’s a student building confidence, a teacher trying a new strategy successfully, or the entire school community working together toward a goal. For her, the most rewarding part of the job is creating an environment where people feel supported and empowered 💙.
Her advice for those starting out in education? “Be patient and flexible. Things won’t always go as planned, and that’s okay. Focus on progress, not perfection, and lean on others for support.”

Just like a red traffic light—when a school bus stops and flashes red lights, Michigan law requires you to STOP at least 20 feet away. 🚦 Both directions must stop—unless a raised barrier separates traffic.
⚠️ Amber lights = slow down. The bus is preparing to stop—don’t speed through.
❌ Passing a stopped bus is illegal. Fines range from $100–$500—and in school zones, fines double. Many buses also have stop-arm cameras—if you pass, you could get a ticket in the mail.
