Over the past two days, we began our four-day Adaptive Schools professional learning series at the Wayland Carpenters and Millwrights Apprentice Training Center, marking an energizing and meaningful start to our work together.
Participants engaged in authentic collaboration—learning how effective groups function, how individuals can behave productively within teams, and how leadership and facilitation with clarity and purpose support continuous improvement.
The experience was made even more special by our beautiful learning space, meaningful networking, and collaborative conversations. We are grateful for the shared learning over these first two days and are excited to continue building on this work when we come back together in April! 🌱

An Evening of Extraordinary Outcomes invites you to listen deeply, remember courageously, and converse compassionately as we explore stories of choice, resilience, and shared humanity. The evening will feature a screening of The Ice Cream Man, a short film based on the true story of Ernst Cahn, whose courageous resistance during the Holocaust reminds us of the impact one individual can have.
Following the film, guests will take part in a guided conversation designed to encourage thoughtful dialogue and reflection around courage, justice, and the power of individual choices. The evening will conclude with a dessert bar and an intimate, youth docent-led viewing of the Anne Frank exhibit - offering space to connect the film’s themes with history and our lives today.
This special event is more than a night out, it is an opportunity to come together as a community, engage in meaningful conversation, and help create a lasting legacy that will impact students and families across Allegan County for years to come.
We hope you’ll join us for this unforgettable experience.

Our Curriculum Directors gathered at Harvest 10:2 in Otsego for a retreat rooted in collaboration, reflection, and growth. Guided by Brené Brown’s "Strong Ground", they engaged in rich conversation about leading with courage, vulnerability, and empathy in uncertain times—building resilience, integrity, and genuine connection. By anchoring their leadership in shared values and purpose, they’re strengthening the foundation to create trust and navigate challenges with clarity and confidence. 🌱
