The Graphic Art & Design program was contacted by Kim Sparks with the Allegan High School Drama Club to design a 7.5' long banner to be used in their upcoming "Elf" musical as a backdrop. Three banners were printed for the musical. Leah Schumacher (Hopkins High School, center) was the lead designer, Navaya Ingle (Hopkins High School, right) created the shelf background, and Madi Dendel (Otsego High School, left) also helped with finding just the right toys.

Graphic Art & Design post. Includes a photo of Madi Dendel and a photo of the OBI program. It reads "The Graphic Art and Design program creates opportunities for real world experiences and projects. The Otsego Marching Band reached out to one of our work-based learning students, Madi Dendel, to create a 40-page program for the Otsego Band Invitational. This not only gave Madi an opportunity to showcase the design knowledge and creativity gained in her first year in the program, but allowed many current first year students to gain experience in printing and binding as they helped complete the project.
We would like to showcase our amazing staff at the Tech Center, starting with Ashlee Berens!

The Allegan Tech Center would like to Congratulate Ashlee Berens, a Paraprofessional in our Vet Tech Program and a 2023 Outstanding Educator in Allegan County. Ashlee is an avid barrel racer, and recently she was able to showcase her expertise with her heifers at the Allegan County Fair by achieving three breed champions and a reserve overall female. This is a testament to how valuable her knowledge and experience is to the Vet Tech program, and we thank her for contributing significantly to our community and students' learning at the Tech Center! Ashlee is pictured here with one of her prize heifers and on a brown horse, barrel racing.

With the 2024/2025 school year underway, the Allegan Tech Center had 86 students sign up and register with Lake Michigan College for direct college credits for first trimester. These students will receive college credit that may transfer to other colleges after high graduation. The credits are paid for by the Allegan Tech Center so students may focus on their education and not worry about tuition. These direct credits are just one of many ways the Allegan Tech Center works to help students Prepare Today, Succeed Tomorrow. (Included at the top are the logos for the Tech Center and Lake Michigan College)
Students in our Teacher Education program have been working on creating individual “All About Me” books. These books will be read in our on site preschool next week with the preschool children. During that time, high school students will be working on creating relationships with the children, and starting to focus on classroom management skills that have been taught in the classroom.
